CAMBRIDGE, Massachusetts – The Mid-Atlantic Rifle Conference has announced its end-of-season honors ahead of the 2025 conference championship tournament.
The Smallbore and Air Rifle Achievement Awards, given to the athlete firing the highest single score in each event during the regular season, went to University of Rhode Island's Sophia Wood (578) and Mount Aloysius College's Molly Miller (594), respectively. Miller also earned MAC Rookie of the Year recognition as the highest-averaging first-year athlete in the two-gun aggregate at 1147.43. Senior of the Year went to MIT’s Rose Alsalman with a two-gun aggregate average of 1122.20. The overall Athlete of the Year honor went to Trinkle, who averaged 1149.71 over the season.
As for the Most Improved Smallbore Team, that honor went to S.U.N.Y. Plattsburgh, while S.U.N.Y. Maritime earned the recognition for Air Rifle Team. On the individual side, Coast Guard’s Dylan Prince earned the smallbore Most Improved honors and S.U.N.Y. Plattsburgh’s Kyle Smith took home the award for air rifle.
The MAC Elite Scholar Award, given to the individual with the highest cumulative GPA competing at the conference championship, went to John Jay College’s Danny Canning.
The All-MAC First Team, Second Team, Rookie Team and Academic Team were also named for 2025. See them listed below.
